Prague is cold in the winter, but it is world-famous for both its celebrations and its overall charm. Also known as the “City of a Thousand Spires”, the noteworthy baroque architecture and striking skyline towers over the frosty ground and is full of fun festivals. Visit in December and stroll the brightly-colored Christmas markets that line the olden streets and stay until New Year’s Eve and watch the sky erupt with fantastic fireworks. You can bid winter farewell in February or March at the masked Bohemia Carnival.
