3Palau
The island archipelago of Palau includes 576 unspoiled white sand islands. Perhaps more importantly, it is hundreds of miles away from its closest neighbor. To some, that fact is exciting enough to add it to the “must-see” list. This largely untouched tropical getaway is the dirty little secret of hardcore diving enthusiasts and tropical sun-seekers everywhere.
But it is much more than a pretty paradise. The locals have spent over a decade protecting Palau’s biodiversity, cultural heritage, and wildlife, Tourism is admittedly essential to survival here. Nevertheless, the powers that be continue to take nationwide measures to attract eco-minded travelers.
