66. The Lithops Weberi
Native to South Africa, the unusual Lithops Weberi gets its moniker from the ancient Greek language. They are both unusual and apparently almost intelligent. They camouflage themselves as pebbles and rocks and are therefore a lot less likely to be consumed by any animals.
The Lithops Weberi sits quite low to the ground. The plants have one or more bulbous leaves. The leaves have a translucent exterior which allows sunlight to more easily make contact with the interior of the plant. In this way, photosynthesis is more easily facilitated. Yellow and white flowers bloom when any new leaves grow.
