5Mysterious Blob
Temuka, a small town on the coast of New Zealand’s South Island, was always a quiet place. At least it was until October 28th, 2009 when the mysterious blob invaded the innocent isle. It was then that resident Rose Fraser discovered the blob on Temuka Beach.
She told the Fairfax NZ News: “I thought: ‘Heck, this is an alien’. She added that it had “big ribs coming out of it” [that] could [have been] tentacles.” Scientists later determined the mysterious blob to be just the top of a sperm whale’s head. (No one knows what happened to the rest of the whale.)
