6The Rio Grande, Texas
Enjoy this 20-mile overnighter from Lajitas to Santa Elena Canyon. Designated in 1978, this stretch of the 191,2-mile Rio Grande offers an ample sample of the Texan terrain from soaring, scenic canyons to Chihuahuan landscapes. Look for coyotes, and petroglyphs, and grinding holes from former indigenous encampments.
Be ready for some exciting Class IV fun as you run Rockslide Rapid at mile 15. While you can ride this river all year, the flows reportedly peak around August so mark your calendar.

Hi!
I am unsure which picture you are referring to but t should coincide with the accompanying article entry. At any rate, thanks for the comment and for your support!

That picture in the hot springs next to the river was taken in Colorado. I visited there last summer (2021) after remembering a trip there with my mom in in my 20’s!
It was very memorable! I can’t remember the town. Look up “hot springs in Colorado”
They’ve added several pools there and hotel rooms!
Hi!
If you are referring to the pictures in the collage, you could be right. To be honest, I have not been to Colorado for several years now. I have to say it is still amazing to me how you can start a trip in one state and before you know it you’ve been in a couple of others! Still, that’s part of what makes it fun! Did you ever go to The Four Corner States and stand in four states at once?
