Home to 1.3 million people, Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It’s also referred to as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” because of its bridges, cathedrals, castles, medieval squares, and Baroque and Gothic architecture. Arguably, the most picturesque of all the city’s buildings is Prague Castle. Constructed in the 800s, it was expanded over the following years. It’s now the home of the Czech Republic’s president.
