1Orkney Island, Scotland

Scottish isles are famous for sheep grazing on rolling hillsides and straight-out-of-the-barrel whiskey. Orkney Island, located off the northeastern tip of the mainland is special. It features the well-preserved, 5,000-year-old settlement, Skara Brae and Scapa Flow harbor where seven WWI German ships were sunk. You can suit up and go scuba diving and explore them if you wish. Finally, don’t forget to wave at the puffins too if you fancy wildlife.
