13Dongchuan Red Soil, China
This is another fascinating mountainous valley nestled in Kunming’s southwestern region. Owing to the fact that the place is extremely isolated, it doesn’t figure on China’s map. The spot was found only in the 90s, and still remains unknown. The swirly landscape looks like a medley of fabrics that are deep red and brownish in color due to the high presence of a variety of minerals.
