OK, Miami pretty much has visitors all year long, barring natural disasters. Still, the weather in May is super. Plus, by May, the spring break college crowds have gone back to school and the summer tourists have not arrived yet at least. So, the beaches aren’t empty but they sure aren’t as crazy.
In May the temperatures are generally summerlike, but the heat has not yet peaked so spending the day on sunny South Beach is quite comfortable. Not big on beaches? Fret not!
You can take an exciting airboat ride through popular Everglades National Park and check out the merchandise at the 150+ shops at the Bayside Marketplace. Don’t forget to sample the city’s diverse, delicious food scene and dine at one of the numerous outdoor eateries by the ocean.
