6 Arc de Triomphe
Take a romantic stroll west along the Champs-Élysées to the famous Arc de Triomphe. This towering structure stands 160 feet tall and is 148 wide. It was actually commissioned by Napoléon as an architectural tip of the hat to the Grande Armee back during the infamous Napoleonic Wars. The arch, impressively adorned with several sculptures, is the largest arch on the planet.
Visit the well-known tomb of The Unknown Soldier. The anonymous officer entombed there honors all the unaccounted for or unidentified soldiers who died in World War I. It’s one of Paris’ most famous monuments.
