1Necker Island, British Virgin Islands
Virgin Group founder Richard Branson purchased Necker Island for $180,000 years ago. Since then, he’s turned it into a resort. Kate Moss’ 40th birthday party was held there as well as Google co-founder Larry Page’s wedding. The property includes the main house, six smaller homes, multiple pools, tennis courts, on-site dining, and a disco DJ. Rates differ per season. Couples rates start at about $4,390 per night. A group of up to 34 people can rent the entire place for $80,000 nightly. (Editor’s Note: Hurricane Irma hit NI in September 2017. Numerous buildings were trashed. No reservations were being taken as this goes to press.)
