Known as “Pearl of the Orient”, Philippines has indeed good beaches to offer. One good beach that is secluded is the El Nido in Palawan.  El Nido is currently rank #4 in the “20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World” according to Conde Nast Traveler.

It has stunning limestone formations that are magically situated above the clean turquoise water. Although el Nido is already quite popular with travelers at present, its remote location enables preservation of its pristine beauty.

Because El Nido was quite remote from most of the inhabited islands in the Philippines, its pristine beauty was hidden to the world until 1979 when a sea accident happened in Bacuit Bay.
