10Maharajas Express, India
The 2010 Maharajas Express was launched in 2010 as luxury carriages mainly designed to give local and international visitors a taste of India’s royalty. It is modeled on erstwhile carriages that were used to transport Indian royalty from one place to another. Maharaja Express’ capacity is limited to 88 passengers, and the journey between Delhi to Mumbai takes a week. You’ll pass through some of the country’s most photogenic destinations, including Agra, Rajasthan, Udaipur, Ranthambore and much more. Each carriage in the train is named after a precious gem from the Maharajah’s treasures.
