11Talyllyn Railway, Wales

The name Great Little Trains of Wales is enough to get you excited about the 15 mile ride ahead. Talyllyn Railway is coal fueled and staffed only by volunteers. The heritage train dates back to the mid 19th century, and snakes its way through the lush Fathew Valley on a route that was utilized for carrying slate from the region’s innumerable mines.
