1515. The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

This is the beautiful place that inspired James Cameron’s big box office hit, Avatar. Oddly, it is one of the lesser known places to see in China. Marvel at its individualistic alien-like rock formations. (The tallest of which rises up 1,080-meters high is now known as “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain”). Don’t forget to ride the Bailong Elevator 326 meters up in less than two minutes.
