Some might think the marine iguanas on the Galapagos Islands are hideous and yet rumor has it that these residents of this archipelago roughly 1,000 kilometers off the coast of Ecuador aided Charles Darwin with his theory of evolution.
There are reportedly around 300,000 marine iguanas living on these islands.
