Alentejo, Portugal
The Algarve is arguably Portugal’s most popular famous coastline. The Alentejo. however, is definitely underrated, despite its incredible beaches and exceptional backcountry, which has millions of cork trees. The name is Portuguese. It translates to “beyond (além) the Tagus river” (Tejo). Alentejo is also the cultural, geographical, and historical region of southern and south-central Portugal.
Mullerthal Region, Luxembourg
The Mullerthal Region of Luxembourg is also known as “Little Switzerland.” The area is an unusual biotope marked by surprising and beguiling sandstone formations. Soil erosion and the unique makeup of the rock are responsible for the creation of the landscape there. It is also known for its quaint villages and picturesque hilly landscape.
