Chuuk Lagoon a.k.a. Truk Lagoon, is reputed to be “the holy grail of scuba diving.” It’s the world’s largest ship graveyard with a horrible history. During World War II, the Japanese naval base located here was bombed by the US military. 50 ships and 250 aircraft were sunk. Now they’re covered with hard and soft corals making a dive here an eerie experience. A dive will cost you $115.00.
