13Dalhousie Castle, Scotland

Located 8 miles from Edinburgh, Dalhousie is a 11-acre property dating back seven centuries. Scotland’s famous castle hotel features several regal traces, and is encircled by an earlier era style moat and rooms with comforts such as a four poster bed.

There’s a cozy, on-site library bar (with a beautiful fireplace no less) featuring a secret bookcase. Savor a candlelight meal at The Dungeon Restaurant or a casual brunch at The Orangery, while grabbing gorgeous views of the South Esk River. Look out for its traditionally Scottish décor.

  1. Are you kidding me? I’ve been to a few of these castles in Ireland and UK and the one in Croatia and they are nothing like the ones I’ve seen in Granada and Córdoba in Spain

  2. I don’t think I could afford any of these! But it is nice to imagine myself in Switzerland or Scotland. I have enjoyed the visit in my imagination! Thanks, breathtaking.
