A ship delivering wine to the people of Northern Greece sunk off the island of Alonissos in 425 BC. Considered by some to be the “Parthenon of shipwrecks”, the vases on the ship were mainly intact.
The most recent organized dive tour ended on October 2nd. Still, the authorities say they’re planning a diving park here. Those who don’t dive can take a virtual diving tour at the Alonissos’ information center.
