The beautiful Outer Banks consists of almost 200 miles of rugged barrier islands just off the state’s coast. The scenic paddling paths here vary from relatively calm waterways through rivers to more active ocean waves. Kayakers of all skill levels are welcome here.
Veteran visitors can confirm that the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge is one of the best places here for kayaking as the water is quite calm.
