3. Machu Picchu, Peru
Machu Picchu is famous worldwide Known as the lost city of the Incas, it was once not known who resided outside of this area. It would remain a mystery until American archaeologist Hiram Bingham’s incredible discovery was eventually published in a 1911 book titled “Across South America.” Since Spanish colonists were unaware of the place, a lot of the architecture was preserved.
4. Santorini, Greece
We have previously praised this particular gorgeous Greek isle located in the sparking southern Aegean Sea in several other previously published pieces. Here you can stroll the black sand beaches and enjoy the great Greek dishes, and the sight of the bright white-washed buildings that sometimes seem precariously perched on the rugged cliffs that overlook the brilliant blue-green water.
