Big Sur is a rather rugged region of coastline in the state of California where the towering Santa Lucia Mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. Cruise the stretch of highway that twists and turns through the nearby stunning seaside cliffs. Veteran visitors suggest stopping to check out the sights at Pfeiffer Beach State Park.
