Nestled in stunning Lucerne, Chapel Bridge was built in the 14th century and spans the Reuss River. Soaked in history, this was the continent’s most ancient wooden bridge. The bridge’s interiors are adorned by paintings depicting historic local events. In an a fire that occurred 2 decades ago, a majority of the paintings and much of the bridge was destroyed. It was later rebuilt to its current form.
