13Saguaro National Park
What better place to see the state’s iconic symbol, the sky-reaching Saguaro cactus, than in Saguaro National Park located near Tucson? There are almost 2 million of them here. The park has two areas: one to the west of the city and the other to the east.
The west side was once named the Tucson Mountain Division and makes a workable day trip out of Phoenix. If you want to see it all, it’s best to stay somewhere in Tucson. In fact, from Tucson, you can see several attractions in one day.

been to all but 2 .. most ive been to 3 to 80+ times..i was a tour director that took small groups on 2 week to 9 week camping trips usa, canada, alaska,mexico ..i did it for 16yrs..
