4Horseshoe Bend

You will find Horseshoe Bend in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The property actually spans an area in both Arizona and Utah. Its popularity often translates to a significant increase in tourist interest and thus it can get a bit crowded.

Nevertheless, this U-shaped turn in the mighty Colorado River remains one of the outstanding places in Arizona to see, and travel experts note that you can still find a few quiet spots if you look. Shutterbugs are also encouraged to “bring a wide-angle lens.” Try a helicopter tour!

  1. been to all but 2 .. most ive been to 3 to 80+ times..i was a tour director that took small groups on 2 week to 9 week camping trips usa, canada, alaska,mexico ..i did it for 16yrs..
