6Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve
Local legend has it that the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve was so vibrant, flourishing and diverse that it was believed to be the Garden of Eden. Bang in the heart of this sprawling natural reserve is a palm forest that dates back centuries. The lush, green palm forest houses Seychelles’ famous Coco de Mer, the biggest seed of the botanical kingdom. Little wonder than that Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
