In late August through early October (and occasionally until early November), the days are slowly getting darker but there is said to still be an abundance of a beautiful misty light. The green land is beginning to turn a red-brown color that contrasts beautifully with the thin layer of the season’s first snow.

If natural beauty isn’t enough you can also attend such events as November’s Iceland Airwaves which consists of five days dedicated to rock, EDM, and partying. There’s also the Imagine Peace Tower lightning on October 9, John Lennon’s birthday, when an artwork made of light is turned on in remembrance of the peace-promoting ex-Beatle.
