Well yes, Amsterdam is the epitome of a liberal tourist destination that welcomes your love for all things prohibited in other countries. That doesn’t however mean the locals are happy dealing with mass tourism that aspires to visit only the red light district and weed cafes. They don’t want to deal with creeps who come here for all the wrong reasons. There’s art (Van Gough museum anyone?), architecture and lots of natural beauty too. Look beyond its legalized debauchery and Amsterdam will welcome you with open arms.
