The Enchanted Rock natural region located to Fredericksburg’s north in the Texas Hill Country is among the nation’s largest and most striking rock formations. It features a dome raising 425 feet over ground level and 1825 feet over sea level. Categorized as a National Natural Landmark in 1970, this rock formation falls within the Texas State Parks System, and hosts several thousand visitors throughout the year.
