Yellowstone is a bucket-lister, but if you want to ditch the 4 million-plus visitors, Wind River Mountain Range is Wyoming’s official largest mountain range, featuring 40 named peaks, seven glaciers, 2,300 lakes and the rushing headwaters of the Green River. Additionally, it encompasses two national forests and parts of the Wind River Indian Reservation too.
