Travel to Raquette Lake, at the very end of a secluded two-mile gravel road deep in the Adirondacks. It is here you will find the ultra-private resort known as Lake Kora. Specializing in takeovers, this was the “great camp” of New York Lieutenant Governor Timothy Woodruff sometime in the 1800s.
Today it’s great for multigenerational family gatherings. Through the month of October, it is open to parties of between 13 and 35 guests. You can choose from “loft-style cabins” to a small three-bedroom building nestled on its own isle that’s only accessible by boat. The resort’s cooking staff provides customized meals too.
