The Camden Assembly in Camden

Found at 49 Chalk Farm Road, this venue hosted acts such as Franz Ferdinand and Coldplay in their up-and-coming years. The stage here has served as a launchpad for other acts too. In fact, this place has garnered a reputation as being an important showcase and offers audiences live entertainment every single night of the week. Indeed, if the band finishes its encore and you want more you’ll be able to dance into the early hours thanks to the efforts of different DJs who spin records there as well.

The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch

Deemed the world’s coolest pub by NME, the Old Blue is owned by Vice magazine.  It merges an unexpected ironic sense of cool with the expected decor of a Victorian gin palace.  Every night disc jockeys and bands hit the stage.  Oddly, while it has no backstage area, it still retains a growing history of hosting hot impromptu appearances by such popular performers as Diplo, Young Knives, Lily Allen, the Arctic Monkeys, and Lightspeed Champion.  Admission is usually free and even ticketed shows are rarely more than six dollars.
