Some say this is one of those must-see places that is often too hot in the summer to truly enjoy. After all, most of the year, it’s generally 99 degrees Fahrenheit or more. Ah, but if you want to beat the heat, visit Joshua Tree from December through March when you can more comfortably explore this beautiful 794,000-acre area.
Hike the Indian Cove Trail, which leaves clues about the Native American tribes that once lived here, or climb the famous “Chasm of Doom” which is the result of numerous huge boulders that are pressed together to form a rugged tunnel-like canyon. Get a good look at the iconic trees there as well.
