8Catedral de Barcelona
The Barcelona Cathedral is Barcelona’s principal cathedral. Located in the middle of the Barri Gòtic district, was built in the late 1200s. The towering Gothic structure was not completed, however, until some time in the mid-1400s.
As you explore the church, take special notice of the many examples of fine artisanship that was put into this building. Note the stately altarpiece, the gold furnishings, and the exterior details. See the 140 statues of the numerous saints. Stroll over to the cloister and enjoy the tropical garden there.
