11Dolmanbahçe Palace

Ensconced on the famed Bosphorus close to both the Besiktas ferry port and the Kabatas tram stop the fabulous Dolmabahçe Palace is both a part of history and strikingly beautiful. Constructed in the 1800s, this palace was both the administrative seat and the main home of the last Ottoman sultans.

The extravagant interior and the architecture of both the interior and exterior reveal a unique blend of both Arab and European designs. Arrive early because there can be long lines and the ticket office can close early.
