5Galata Tower
The landmark Galata Tower offers visitors the very best views of Istanbul anywhere in Beyoglu. This tower was once used as a jail. It sits atop a hill across from the Golden Horn. During the 1960s the building was restored and a copula was added. The observation deck was opened to tourists. There is also a nightclub and a restaurant at the top of the tower.
Arrive early if you wish to beat the crowds and the potential long wait to get to the top.
