Situated in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul, Taksim Square is a contemporary, energetic area for tourists. Many bars, restaurants, and stores fill the streets here. There are also such preferred hotels as the Grand Hyatt Istanbul and the InterContinental Istanbul.
You will also find the well-known Taksim Republic Monument. It represents the founding of the Turkish Republic back in 1923. You can visit the square free of charge any time of the day or night. The hours of the shops, bars, and eateries, however, vary.
