12Olympic National Park, Washington

Washington State’s Olympic National Park is one of America’s most diverse parks. It has so much to offer you and your family. It features cool, crashing waterfalls, gorgeous glacier-topped mountains, lovely lakes, a lush rainforest, and, of course, the Pacific coastline.

Veteran visitors recommend hiking popular Hurricane Hill at the Hurricane Ridge Visitor’s Center where you’re apt to catch a glimpse of mountain goats, and fluffy marmots, and take in sweeping views. Along the coastline, you’ll find many places to discover starfish and see sea anemones in numerous tide pools. Take some of the short but memorable hikes through the mossy Hoh rainforest. Keep your eyes wide open as you explore this park and you might just be lucky enough to notice a herd of elk. If you like the water, you can also go boating and do some fishing here.
