The awesome Attabad Lake was actually the result of a truly tragic event. It was formed following a powerful landslide in northern Pakistan back in 2010. Attabad was buried, but this striking lake was born. Visit in the spring or summer when the great glaciers melt and give the clear, pristine lake a vivid shade of blue.
