Travel to Catalonia, for it is here that you will find the marvelous medieval village of Castellfollit de la Roca. It actually sits upon a Brobdingnagian basalt column. The majority of the homes and streets here are built out of volcanic rock. The once conventionally shaped village was expanded over a kilometer-long basalt configuration because of some incredible, unnamed force. The town’s main street now wanders around the entire community.
