This 40-mile barrier island is less than 30 miles away from the Alabama border. Technically, Santa Rosa Beach comprises three smaller romantic and relaxing beaches: Navarre, Pensacola, and Okaloosa. During hurricane season, as it is especially susceptible to cyclones.
