Captiva is nestled north of Sanibel Island. It has an “old Florida” feel and was one of Theodore Roosevelt’s favorite vacation destinations. This charming island is, indeed, a great place for a romantic getaway.
There are no streetlights that encourage moonlight strolls and intimate evenings in the boudoir. There are several romantic resorts from which couples can choose. Dine at the “quasi-museum” and restaurant the Bubble Room. Automobiles are only allowed on the toll road, the Sanibel Causeway. Thus, this place is great for romantic strolls.
