When this hotel opened its doors in March 2017, it helped change the local waterfront. Architect Thomas Heatherwick took an old former grain silo from 1924 into something unique. He also supervised the inclusion of the renowned Zeitz MOCAA museum on the ground floor.

The hotel occupies the six upper levels and includes 28 rooms. There are also three restaurants, a spa, and a nice rooftop bar by the pool. Bathrooms here are large and lavish and a number of them provide guests with unimpaired views of such Cape Town landmarks as the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain through their trademark geodesic windows. Room rates generally start at more than $1,000.00 each night. Too pricey? Just have a drink at the bar and enjoy the views.
