5Gullfoss Falls, Iceland
Gullfoss is Icelandic for “Golden Falls.” Nestled in the canyon of the Hvítá River, it is reported to be very popular with tourists and day trippers alike. Along with the geysers of Haukadalur and Þingvellir, it is part of the popular Golden Circle attraction.
Thus, it is a part of the majority of tours in Iceland. Gullfoss Falls is also an official UNESCO World Heritage Site more famous for its beauty than its deadliness. Interestingly enough, your view is partially obscured, and the cascading water appears to vanish. Music aficionados may have seen this place in the “Heaven” music video by the American rock band Live.

Kaieteur Falls, Guyana should have been on this list. It measures 741 feet and is the tallest single drop waterfall in the world.
