7Niagara Falls, Canada, And The USA
Arguably the most famous falls in the world, this trio of thunderous, wide cascades are situated in New York State near Buffalo and crash across the US border into the country of Canada. Individually, they are the Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. The water not only has a distinctive blue-green tint but also a long, well-known history of individuals who have all tried to go over the falls and survive. The least successful would-be daredevil, of course, left only a single arm to mark his attempt. Movie mavens might recognize the place from the 1980 feature film Superman II.
