Fredericksburg is reportedly one of Texas Hill Country’s “most popular towns.” While the German heritage of this charming place is already known, it offers couples much more than a bit of history. It is also a great place for antiquing, wine tasting and participating in local festivals such as Oktoberfest.

24. Chicago, Illinois
While one might not immediately consider this city to be a romantic place, there are several different things for couples to do here both indoors and outdoors. Indoor options include seeing a play, catching a comedy show, going to a jazz club, or exploring one of the well-known museums. Outdoor options include visiting Millennium Park, where you can see Cloud Gate, a.k.a. The Bean, strolling the Chicago Riverwalk, or taking an architecture river cruise.
