There are so many trees in Washington, D.C. that the US capitol holds a National Cherry Blossom Festival every year. The very best place to see the cherry blossoms here is in the Tidal Basin, the surrounding area, and along the shoreline of pretty East Potomac Park up to Hains Point. You also shouldn’t miss the area surrounding the National Mall.

If you’re in search of the perfect Instagram shot try shooting the famous Washington Monument and the well-known Jefferson Memorial in the background near the Tidal Basin.

    Thanks for your comment and for reading the article. I can think of a couple of places that also have cherry blossom trees somewhere. Unfortunately, only these places made the top 14. No doubt Korea would have made a longer list. I do not really choose the winners though for the most part.
