Nature is reported to be the raison d’être of this teal ocean-flanked escape in Key Largo. The rooms’ panoramic balconies provide a peaceful, easy feeling. For more green-minded guests, the resort offers guests an opportunity to “give back” to nature, too.
It hosts monthly underwater and beach cleanups. Along with Ocean Rescue Alliance and 1000 Mermaids, they also support coral-restoration initiatives. The resort’s nature walks are led by eco-educators who educate others on the Florida Keys’ fragile ecosystems as well. The retreat was the first American resort to join the Dock to Dish initiative which helps dining guests support sustainable and small-scale fishing.
