55. St. Joseph Lighthouses, Michigan
Take it light in St. Joseph, (a.k.a. St Joe to the locals) Michigan. The famous St. Joseph Situated on Lake Michigan, the lighthouses successfully withstand the winter elements. Erected in the early 1900s, the pair of lighthouses and the accompanying outer light is said to be perhaps the oldest on the well-known lake.
Those who have been confirm that the walk from popular Silver Beach to the lighthouses is “perfect distance” if you’re up for a little exercise. These lighthouses are also a great place to get away from the summer beach scene and the view is always noteworthy regardless of when you visit. Some people even find the lighthouses and surrounding area perfect for a romantic hand-in-hand stroll.
